Meet Trei:
Artist, Musician, Songwriter, Audio Engineer and now Yoga Instructor, Trei Battle was born in Richmond, Virginia. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 21 months, Trei’s childhood was full of nurture and extra care. A few years after graduating from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, and driving back and forth to Atlanta to work in bigger studios with more notable Artists and Producers, Trei moved to LA to continue pursuing his career in music. With hopes of easing a pinch in his low back one morning in 2019, Trei’s Yoga journey began. Practicing alone with instructional videos supercharged his discovery of the subtle body and how/where stuck energy gets held in our vessel. Trei eventually joined the Experience Alaya community where he sat in circle, via Zoom, with Uma Ashleigh Sergeant and Meg McCraken. After some 1-on-1 session with Uma, a year in Meg’s Refuge Community, and 200 Hours later, Trei is certified Yoga Instructor. It’s his mission to create the space and experiences that leave people feeling “seen”; empowered and inspired to Create, have that conversation or finally DO what it is that fills their heart. A portion of donations received for Trei's Song of Life: Are We Harmonizing or Creating Dissonance class will be donated to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D (Type 1 Diabetes) and its complications. JDRF has a vision of a world without type 1 diabetes. |
About JDRF:
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults suddenly. It has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent it. And, at present, there is no cure. JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people—and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it—by funding research; advocating for government support of research and new therapies; ensuring new therapies come to market and are recommended by healthcare providers; and connecting, engaging, and educating the T1D community. Meet Kentrello:
My name is Kentrell Austin, I go by Kentrello, and I am a musician and yoga teacher. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I moved to California in 2021 to start a new life for myself. There I modeled, was a brand ambassador, and drove trucks internationally for work. I recently traveled to Arin, Peru where I attended school to achieve my YTT 200hr+ certification. I believe the universe is opening many doors for me to teach more yoga. My tiktok (www.tiktok.com/@kentrello) has went viral twice while living in Texas, opening many doors for me to teach free yoga classes to many people all over the globe. It is an honor and a pleasure for me to teach everyone willing to join. My students often express that they love how relaxed they feel and they love how my classes offer the opportunity for students to be in a safe space to connect to themselves and their spirituality. Today I still create music, travel, vlog and teach yoga. My mission is to explore the world and be free, learning and teaching along the way. Connect with Kentrello on Instagram:
