The World's Happiest Transformational Event!

Festival of Colors Los Angeles is non stop live music from great bands, yoga, mantras, dance, cuisine, and the throwing of colors!

About Festival of Colors
In India, Holi Festival announces the arrival of spring and the passing of winter. The festival breathes an atmosphere of social merriment. People bury their hatchets with a warm embrace and throw their worries to the wind. Every nook and corner presents a colorful sight. Young and old alike are covered with colors (red, green, yellow, blue, pink, orange, violet, and more).
People in small groups are seen singing, dancing and throwing colors on each other. Though liquid colors are used in India (where it’s warm) we prohibit them, as we don’t want anyone to catch cold on account of the festival.

Essentials to make the most of your Festival of Colors LA Holi Festival experience:

  • an open mind and positive attitude
  • loose/light-weight clothing - clothes you don't mind getting dusty with powdered colors
  • light colored clothes - white t-shirts are highly recommended
  • old shoes and socks - any protective footwear that you don't mind getting dusty with powdered colors
  • an old towel - to keep in your car to wipe yourself off with after the Holi Festival (so you don't track the colors into your car)
  • a plastic bag - in which to put your colorful Holi clothes and after-towel during the drive home
  • an extra outfit to change into for the ride home (a t-shirt, bottoms, socks and shoes - or sandals - undies, etc. The colors get everywhere!)
  • a snack and/or water bottle - for the ride home (playing with colors all day makes a person hungry and thirsty!)
  • sunglasses or goggles - to protect your eyes
  • a small plastic snack or sandwich bag - in which to put your phone, ID, money, etc. Basically anything you want to protect from getting dusty from the powdered colors
  • cash - for parking fee, entrance fee (if you're paying in-person), food, packets of powdered colors, etc. (cards are accepted, but for this event cash is just easier)
