Oh man, it's been a long time since I participated in a beach cleanup. How about you? Mother Earth is so good to us - let's be good to her. Join me for an activity of compassion as we care for this planet that takes such good care of us.

"We’re getting stoked for our FIRST Core Volunteer Orientation of the year! Meet some new awesome ocean-loving peeps and learn all about our programs and how YOU can #ProtectAndEnjoy our oceans, waves and beaches! This is the perfect way to get involved and make a BIG impact in 2018! We’ll host our Santa Monica Beach Cleanup after orientation giving all volunteers a chance to jump right into the fun afterwards. Everyone welcome! Woooo! Make it facie official here!"

What to wear and bring to the beach cleanup:
  • sunscreen
  • sunglasses
  • a hat and/or visor
  • a reusable / refillable water bottle
  • small snacks - on the chance you think you'll get hungry
  • a small backpack or fanny pack - to hold your keys, ID, snacks, etc.
  • wear lite-layers / comfortable clothes; maybe a sweater or sweatshirt if you think you might get cold
  • be aware of your feet: closed-toe shoes might be best for your own protection during the cleanup, then switch over to flip-flops for playing/hanging out at the beach after - whatever works best for you

For after the beach cleanup:
  • a towel
  • a swimsuit
  • a yoga mat - let's breathe, flow, and play at the beach!
