MARCH 2018 - Yin & Gong
03.09
Enjoy an evening of deep stretch and deep sound vibration. We will move through very gentle Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga shapes with Raja Michelle while being supported & unwound with the comfort of yoga props and the powerfully therapeutic resonance of Fawntice's Sacred Gongs.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin yoga is a slow practice of holding stretch poses for long periods of time. The intention is to open meridians, place u-stress on joints and connective tissue, and find stillness with breath. The Yin practice allows the bodies internal functions to move more efficiently and the joints to be more lubricated, promoting mobility and strength.
What is a gong bath?
The gong bath is a sound healing technique that naturally invokes the part of our nervous system contributing to efficient rest and digest, while also clearing our meridians and balancing our chakras. This allows us to release blockages that we hold within our bodies and minds.
The two coming together, Yin & Gong, offers a deep opportunity to heal and release that which no longer serves us.
