If you ask me about yoga, and we had all day, I could (and would! lol) talk your ear off. I love yoga. I'll say it again: I. Love. Yoga. I am not bendy-flexible (yet), yet I am a yogi. I practice yoga in a sincere and meaningful way that challenges my being and elevates my inner peace and authenticity. I invite you this month, into the world of yoga through my eyes. Please join me on the mat this month for 31-Days of compassionate movement and celebration of our bodies and selves in this world.
The beautiful thing about yoga is that it can, and does, mean different things to different people. "Yoga meets you where you are and give you what you need." (TM) It is practice of strength, grit, humility, patience, and...yes, fun! It is empowering and powerful - it is an expression of self-love.
There are various forms of yoga styles and there are various ways yoga can be taught. The only way to find out what form of yoga works for you is to just start attending a yoga class and deciding if you like that type class enough to go back again. Yoga is also diverse in the places it can be practiced: in a studio/class setting, at the park or beach or gym, at home one-on-one with a private yoga lesson, and at home online. If you are really interested in yoga, there is a way for you to find your groove and practice.

Online: I honestly cannot say enough great things about MyYogaWorks.com. There are literally over 1,000 classes with world renowned teachers that vary in length and style - there's something for everyone here. There are specific Journey Series classes that can help you learn a new pose, detox, target specific body parts for toning and strengthening - they have a daily calendar to follow and last for a certain amount of days or weeks in order to set you up for success in achieving whatever goal you have in mind. If you are into the power side of yoga, checking out some of these classes may be a great option for you.
