Welcome to Mental Health & Mindset awareness and awakening all month long! Let's aim to normalize conversations about/around mental health, feelings, mindset shifts. Since each have our own unique journey and/or adventure with health - mental, physical, spiritual, emotional - let's be empowered and encouraged to come together and collectively share our experiences so we can all continue learn, grow, and heal. Support can be expressed in many ways; acceptance can look and feel different to each of us. Both can be found here - internally within ourselves and externally amongst friends and loved ones - when we are open to hearing and seeing it, in whatever way it shows up for us or presents itself to us; and when we are ready to acknowledge and receive it.

How can we harness this inner strength to manifest a more positive and fulfilling reality? Answer: an affirmation practice.
About Affirmations: Affirmations are positive statements about your life, relationships, and experiences that you want to be true. They are spoken in the present tense in order to draw that result to you. When we say things in the present tense, we invite them in now and affirm that our dreams are currently unfolding in a way that is perfect for us. About our Affirmations practice:
1- Purchase and download the Self Love Affirmation Guide ($2.97 USD. Link is here and below). 2- Put the Self Love Affirmation Guide on your phone, iPad or tablet, computer, or print it out - so it is easily accessible to you. 3- Decide on a time-of-day that works for you - where you can have at least 10 uninterrupted minutes to yourself. (If you can treat yourself to more than 10 mins, cool; If not, no worries. 10 mins is a great place to start. Please feel empowered to add on more time as your schedule allows.) *Pro-tip: schedule this block of allotted, sacred MEtime in your calendar and treat it like the important, non-negotiable commitment and appointment it is. 4- Pull up the Self Love Affirmation Guide and begin reading the affirmations. Take a deep breath and begin to read the affirmations to yourself. Perhaps you may read the affirmations silently; perhaps you may read the affirmations quietly in a whisper; perhaps you may read the affirmations out loud in your full-volume voice. Read them in way that feels comfortable and aligned. *Pro-tip: as you read the affirmations, breathe into them and feel them as you read them. Allow any feelings that arise to come and notice any thoughts or feelings that arrive/show up. Without judgment or getting annoyed, invite the thoughts and feelings to stay and perhaps make note of them so you can explore them later. *Pro-tip: there isn't a 'wrong way' to establish an affirmations practice. Every day we come to our affirmations may be different, and that's okay. Reading these affirmations can look like this: reading the affirmations one after the other and repeating the entire list a few times. Or, reading one affirmation a day and focusing undivided attention on the one affirmation, breathing into it, repeating it as many times as needed. It's totally an individual practice and however it develops and evolves and grows for you, please feel empowered to go with it and flow with it! |

My name is Ifoma (Ee-fo-mah) Genevieve, and I believe myself to be a Unicorn Girl living in a modern world.
